Some WoW Classic players were deliberately using exploiting dungeon bug to collect extra loot

A World of Warcraft Classic player has found an exploit that allowed him and his guildmates to accumulate over 100,000 gold. The game-breaking bug took advantage of the layering system, letting him skip the entirety of a dungeon before repeatedly killing the final boss. Normally, a team of five to 10 players would spend up to an hour to reach the end of a dungeon. But a Reddit user bypassed this by leaving his group, reinviting his teammates, and resetting the dungeon.

One prominent example was streamer Esfand, whose guild entered the Molten Core raid to discover it had been reset prior to the weekly lockout ending. In their case, they actually checked with Blizzard before completing the raid, although anyone else who experienced such a bug without taking deliberate steps to produce it shouldn’t have to worry about their account.

Before the introduction of layering in Classic, this exploit wasn’t an option. Reforming a group is intended to teleport players to the entrance of the dungeon. With layering, though, it appears to be a different story. Layering isn’t supposed to work this way, and as a result, Blizzard has stepped in and vowed to deploy a worldwide bug fix by the next realm reset. If you want to buy wow classic gold cheapest, I think is your best choice, after all, the site has been officially certified,so it's very safe.

Blizzard has already noticed the bug, however, and will not be allowing it to persist within WoW Classic. "As soon as possible, we will identify those who knowingly abused this bug in exploitative manner...we will then take appropriate punitive measures," wrote community manager Kaivax in the Blizzard WoW Classic forums. Obviously, that means Skarmtank and the rest of their guild have likely put a target on their back for broadcasting their abuse of the bug, but it's unclear if that will mean an outright ban for the group or just a temporary vacation from Azeroth.

Players have been known to “exploit” the layering system out in the world by deliberately jumping between layers in order to more quickly farm enemies for experience or loot, but it seems Blizzard consider this tactic legitimate as it uses an intended game mechanic rather than a bug. It is worth noting, though, that Blizzard will punish deliberate exploits retroactively, so if you discover a way of abusing a bug, doing so may well come back to bite you.
